Lame Deer, N.C. Res.—The 38th Annual Chief’s Powwow Celebration brought a lot of people from out of town.  The powwow was a success and there was much positive feedback given to the powwow committee.  This year’s Powwow was the second year that the Powwow actually generated revenue.  Good coordination, committee planning, communication, community involvement, and accounting were attributed to this year’s success. The Chief’s Powwow is the biggest celebration of the Northern Cheyenne Nation.  Photographs taken by Zhona Tang, July 4th, 2006.
