RESOLUTION NO. DOI-136 (2010)

A RESOLUTION OF THE NORTHERN CHEYENNE TRIBAL COUNCIL OFFICIALLY APPROVING THE OFFICIAL LICENSE PLATE DESIGN OF THE NORTHERN CHEYENNE TRIBE.

WHEREAS, the Tribal Council of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe is the governing body of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe and Reservation pursuant to the Amended Constitution and Bylaws as approved by the Secretary of the Interior on May 31, 1996; and

WHEREAS, the Tribal Council of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe has under Article IV, section (I), to cultivate and preserve native arts, crafts, culture, and Indian ceremonials; and

WHEREAS, the Tribal Council of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe desires to introduce the official design of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe License Plate; and

WHEREAS, the Tribal Council of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe desires to adopt an official license plate for identifiable purposes and mutual benefit of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe through the State of Montana; now

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Tribal Council of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe hereby officially adopts the license plates design of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tribal Council of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe sets forth this resolution and can only be rescinded or repealed only by an affirmative vote of eight members of the Tribal Council.

PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED by the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Council by 8 votes for passage and adoption, 0 votes against passage and adoption and 0 abstentions this 2nd day of August 2010.
